OWNER PROFILE:
Kevin L. Woods
Kevin is the owner and operator of Veteran Trikes of Prestonsburg, KY. Kevin is originally from Detroit, Michigan and was transplanted in Eastern Kentucky in 1996. Once Kevin got to Kentucky, things changed...he went back to school, joined the military; served 7 years in the Army and National Guard, went to college at Morehead State University and graduated with a BS in Construction Management & Engineering Technology in 2007. Once Kevin moved to Georgia in December of 2007 he was already hired as a Project Engineer for a large contracting company, and then the journey began for trikes.
Kevin's 2nd cousin opened a trike shop right outside Atlanta in the summer of 2007 just before Kevin moved there. After visiting the shop on a few occasions and coming and going here and there throughout the year Kevin grew interest in the trike industry, he asked his cousin if he could build one...and the rest is history. With experience building Hannigan, Champion, California Sidecar, Roadsmith and Motor Trike and over 300 builds under his belt in the past 5 years he has extensive experience at all levels of trike building and troubleshooting. Kevin treats customers with respect and cares about what they ride and how they invest their money; because purchasing a trike isn't all about how much money you will make, its about giving people what they want and making sure they are taken care of.

Dedication & Inspiration
Jack "Coach" Rice
Jack started building trikes in mid 2007 in a small shop just outside Atlanta, GA "Trikes by Coach Rice". I remember my first visit to the shop when I was planning to move to the area. I stopped in the shop and my first comment was, "Man this place is small". Jack looked at me and said, "Gee thanks man". A month later I stopped in again and he had moved around the corner in the same building but three times the space. Three months after that he occupied the whole 8,000sf building and his legacy began.
I didn't know the first thing about motorcycles, nor did I even know how to ride one. After his office talks and speaches I finally gave it a shot and then I was convinced that this would be something that I wanted to do. He asked if I wanted to give it a shot at building trikes and I was in.
Four years later after his passing in November of 2011, I moved on back to my hometown of Prestonsburg, KY to live on his legacy by building the best kits on the market and the same way he started out in a one bay garage with Champion Trikes and California Sidecar Trikes.
Everything I have learned in this industry came from him and I thank Jack and Sharon for giving me the opportunity to continue Jack's passion and love of these great machines we all call trikes. I love and miss you "Cuz" and I am going to do my best, just like you did.
